Winter Wrap-Up & What’s Next at Tyax Adventures

Last Week of Winter Spent At Eldorado

This past week was the final stretch of winter at Eldorado Cabin.

Our last group honestly lucked out, bluebird days, good snow, and that warm spring energy.

We’ve loved having the Head Ski Team out with us this winter and are really looking forward to watching the beautiful footage they captured.

Closing Out the Winter Season

Winter has officially come to a close.

The final days delivered, bluebird skies, soft spring snow, and a group soaking up those last turns in a place that feels a long way from everything else.

It’s a strong way to end the season. But before long, we’ll be back, just in a completely different way.

Sea Otter Classic

The Sea Otter Classic wrapped up this month, and it delivered exactly what it always does, a high energy start to the riding season.

It was great to connect with so many people from across the biking community, share stories from the Chilcotins, and hear what everyone is excited about for the summer ahead.

Events like this are always a good reminder of how much there is to look forward to. We’re heading into the season feeling inspired and ready for what’s next.

Whats coming this summer

Once the snow melts , the Chilcotins turn into this huge network of trails, ridgelines, and valleys that are made for covering distance.

That’s where summer really shines out here.

Multi day biking trips are a big part of it, moving through the landscape over a few days. Same goes for hiking, with longer routes, big views, and fun with friends.

And then there’s flightseeing, which is one of the wildest ways to experience this place. You’ll take off right from Tyaughton Lake and within minutes you’re flying over glacier fields, alpine lakes, and huge stretches of terrain that are hard to access any other way. Depending on your route of choice, you can fly out over the South Chilcotins, the Bridge River Valley, or even toward the stunning Lillooet Icefield.
